Barbara Ann Jones, a beloved member of her community and cherished by her family, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Commerce, Georgia at the age of 77. Born on October 13, 1947, in Shelby, North Carolina, Barbara's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family and her work.

Barbara enjoyed a fulfilling career before retiring from The Cotton Mill, embracing the joys of home and family life. Her devotion to her family was evident through the love she shared with her husband, Gerald Jones, and their children. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Shelia Wright, and her sons, Frankie Wright, Jimmy Jr. Wright (Carmellas), Chris Jones, and Gabby Jones, each of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.

Barbara was also the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and the loving great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember her nurturing spirit and the countless memories they created together.

She is deeply missed by her siblings, Jackie Smith (Ann) and Linda Toney (Randy), as well as her brother-in-law, James Jones. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Bessie Morrow Smith, and her brothers, Dunie Smith and William Smith, along with her sister, Shirley Weeks.

Throughout her life, Barbara Ann Jones exemplified the values of love, dedication, and family, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
