Arthur Laing Adkins, Sr.

Arthur Laing Adkins, Sr. age 93 of Commerce, GA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Born on July 29, 1933 in Newton, GA, Mr. Adkins was the son of the late Alexander and Toy Laing Adkins. He was the widower of Tiny Nell McDonald Adkins. 

He and his wife, Nell, founded Norcross Tag Company, Inc. in 1965 and both worked until their death. Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Hill, Martha Touchtone; brothers, Alex Adkins and Bill Adkins.

Survivors include a daughter, Laing (Mark) Hayes; son, Al (Rebecca) Adkins; grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Hayes, Gregory (Mary) Hayes, Robert (Stephanie) Hayes, Ella Adkins, Trey Adkins; great-grandchildren, Mercer and Lochlan Hayes, Elisabeth and Louis Hayes, and Arie Hayes.

In accordance with Dad's wishes, we will not be having a public funeral or viewing, but rather only a small private family event sometime in the future.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to a Hospice service of your choice. Hospice personnel are angels from Heaven! These people were invaluable for both our Mom and Dad in their final days on this earth.
