Anna Johnson

Anna Johnson age 81 of Commerce, GA. went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 23,2026.

Born Anna Belle Walker (Ding) on February 15,1944 to Lewis K. and Florence R. Walker of Ullin, Illinois. Anna was the youngest of 3 children. Ann graduated from Ullin High School in 1962. Ann, a deeply devoted christian woman member of Faith Baptist Church enjoyed reading, history, traveling, cooking and antiquing. Anyone who knew Ann also knew her love and passion for dogs, specifically bulldogs. Over her life she has owned all 3 types of bulldogs; French, American and English, and was an AKC award winning breeder of English Bulldogs.

Ann was a loving wife to the late Richard A. Johnson. They married in January 1964. Together they moved to Merrillville, IN and had two children, Gay Ellen and Richard Lee (Ric). They moved to Florida 1983 and then settled into Commerce, GA. in 1995. Ann was a beloved “Nana” to her grandchildren, Joshua and Brayden Spina, Lauren (Garney) Cash, Jase Spina, Tara Johnson, and Gracie Johnson. Family and friends may pass on condolences and prayers to her daughter Gay Ellen Spina, son-in-law, Gary Spina and family in Georgia, North Carolina, and Michigan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
