Angelia Renee Workman passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Gainesville, Georgia. Born on June 26, 1984, in Demorest, Georgia, Angelia graced the world with her compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others.
Angelia's nursing career was marked by her unwavering commitment to her patients and her exemplary ability to provide comfort and care during their most vulnerable moments. Her colleagues admired her professionalism, her gentle nature, and her boundless empathy. To Angelia, nursing was not just a profession; it was a calling that she embraced wholeheartedly.
She is survived by her loving family, including her devoted spouse, Billy Long; her son, Joseph Gage Croy; and her father, Cecil Workman; mother and step father Marie and Ricky Croy. Angelia is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Amber Angel, Jennifer Workman, and Adam Cecil Workman. She held a special place in her heart for her cherished nephew, Austin Croy, and her adored nieces, Dixie Angel, Gracie Angel, Maddie Angel, and Katelyn Workman, along with her nephews, Aiden Workman and AJ Workman. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ellen Martin Newberry, Charles Newberry and Tim and Mable Workman.
Angelia Renee Workman leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her career and personal life. In this time of sorrow, we honor her memory and the lasting impact she made on all our hearts.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 11 AM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Billy Parson officiating with burial in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Alto, Ga. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Friday night and Saturday night from 5 to 8 PM.
