Alton Emory

Alton Emory, age 72 of Homer, GA passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023.

Born on November 4, 1950 in Atlanta, GA, Mr. Emory was the son of the late George Samuel and Lucille Smitherman Emory. Mr. Emory was a retired carpenter with Local Union 225, of the Baptist faith, and was preceded in death by siblings, Alan Emory, Malcolm Emory, and Linda Hunter.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wanda Williams Emory; son, Robert Alton Emory, Jr.; sisters, Gail Walcott, Nancy Khoury; brothers, Stuart Emory, Don Emory, Steve Emory, Jimmy Emory, Butch Emory; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A cremation will be taking place per the deceased wishes.
