Homer, Georgia

Tammie Fincannon Arroway, age 54, a resident of Homer, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Born on February 28, 1969, in Commerce, GA, Tammie was the daughter of the late Lerey Bill and Louise Arnold Fincannon. She was a woman of strong faith, who believed in Jesus Christ.

Tammie is survived by her loving husband, Howard Arroway, who stood by her side throughout their journey together. She leaves behind a legacy in her four sons: Joey Fincannon, Joshua Fincannon, Justin Fincannon, and her cherished favorite, Jack(dog.) Tammie's children remember her as a strong and determined woman who always went above and beyond to ensure they were loved and provided for. Her sons have fond memories of never lacking anything they needed, a testament to Tammie's unwavering commitment to her family. Despite the hardships life presented, she always put her loved ones first and made numerous sacrifices for their well-being.

In addition to her immediate family, Tammie is survived by her brother, Larry Robinson, and sisters, Diane Robinson, Carolyn Bathhurst, and Penny Noel. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her seven grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Tammie's baptism in 2013 by her youngest son, Justin Fincannon, marked a significant milestone in her spiritual journey. It was a moment of deep connection and love shared between mother and son.

Tammie possessed a range of admirable qualities that defined her character. She was headstrong, never backing down from a challenge and always facing life's obstacles with determination. Her love knew no bounds, and she made sure her family never went without. Tammie was known for being opinionated and outspoken, never hesitating to express her thoughts and beliefs. She was authentic and genuine, always staying true to herself. Independence was another defining trait of Tammie's personality, as she embraced her individuality and lived life on her own terms.

A woman of contrasts, Tammie could be both fearless and vulnerable. She displayed a remarkable strength that allowed her to be a true badass in life, yet she possessed an unexpected fear of birds. Nevertheless, she confronted her fears head-on, exhibiting immense courage that inspired those around her. Tammie's perseverance was unwavering, as she never gave up, even in the face of adversity.

As we mourn the loss of Tammie, let us remember her indomitable spirit and the impact she had on our lives. Her determination, strength, and fearlessness will forever be an inspiration to us all. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to know her as her pain is no more and she joins her mother, Louise in heaven.

A private memorial service will be held in Tammie's honor, allowing her loved ones to gather and celebrate her life. Location and times will be communicated in the coming hours.
