Kira Faye Samples, age 61, of Commerce, GA passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Born February 21, 1956, in Commerce, GA, she was the daughter of the late Cleo Slater and Patsy Wood Slater. Ms. Samples was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie (Tater) Slater, and a sister, Angie Gilliam.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Samples of the residence; sons, Nick Bennett, Watkinsville, GA, Jay Bennett, Watkinsville, GA, and Adam Bennett, Commerce, GA; daughters, Misty Ragsdale, Commerce, GA, and Marie Webb, Maysville, GA; sister, Becky Pierce, Commerce, GA; she is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 pm Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Tuesday November 28, 2017 at the funeral home.
