Joseph Woody Gaither, age 85 of Nicholson, GA passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at his residence.
Born on Sept. 28, 1932 in Lanett, AL he was the son of the late Rainie John and Carrie Elizabeth Brand Gaither. Mr. Gaither was a member of Baptist Tabernacle in Commerce, GA, an Army veteran in the Korean War, and is the widower of Fannie Boothe Gaither.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Mark Norris, Nicholson, Emily and Stacey Payne, Commerce; step-daughter, Ann Gibson, AL; 6 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, Sept 26, 2018 in the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
