Elaine Downs Paumgardhen age 60 of Athens (Jackson County) passed away Oct. 11, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Paumgardhen was born June 13, 1957 in Atlanta to the late Harry & Lois Jones Downs. She was a homemaker and will be missed by all.
Survivors include, longtime companion, Chris Parr of Athens, Ian Paumgardhen of Athens, sister, Ann Myers of Blairsville.
Private family services will be held at a later time.
