Betty Ann (Hembree) Brown

Betty Ann (Hembree) Brown - Born: 09 March 1934 to James Thomas Hembree Sr. and Mary Ruth (Wilson) Hembree in Jackson County, Georgia, departed this life at approximately One AM 10 October, 2019.

Betty was an employee of the Commerce Telephone Company, the Commerce Manufacturing Company, and the Dupont Company near Athens Georgia.

Betty has two living sisters; Mary Pugh of Loganville, Georgia, and Jean Scoggins of Commerce, Georgia. She also has several nieces and nephews, some of whom reside out of state and some locally to whom Betty and Hugh Lee were affectionally known as "Aunt Bet", and "Uncle Bud."

Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Dalton Hugh Lee Brown of Commerce, Georgia; two brothers, Randolph Hembree and James Thomas Hembree Jr. both of Jackson County, Georgia. Betty was also predeceased by two sisters; Louvie (Hembree) Threlkel of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Barbara (Hembree) Holloway of Missouri.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. Ronnie Cope officiating. Following the service a reception will be held in our reception room.
