Nelson Albert Cowart, 58, of Winterville, GA passed away Monday Mar. 02, 2015.
A native of Madison Co., Mr. Cowart was the son of the late J.C. and Essie Ruth Whitehead Cowart. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Cowart and a sister, Robin Burroughs. Mr. Cowart was a retired truck driver with Athens Seed Co.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Miller Whitehead Cowart of the residence; son, Billy (Staci) Anglin, Hull; daughter, Pam (Ralph Willoughby) Booth, Hull; sister, Susan (Asa) Huff, Hull; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Wed. March 04 at Ivie Funeral Home, Danielsville with the Rev. Clay Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens. The family is at the residence and will receive friends Tues. Mar. 3 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
