Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Margaret Purcell Lacy, age 92, of Commerce who passed away on Thursday April 23rd, 2015. She was born in Banks County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late C.D. and Ruth (Powers) Purcell.
Survivors include her daughter, Jayne (Randy) Lackey of Ila; grandchildren, Chanda (Tommy) Cowart of Ila, Josh (Tiffany) Brown of Lula; and Kyle (Heather) Lackey of Ila; great grandchildren, Naomi Cowart, Patience Brown, Damian Brown, and Abigail Lackey; brothers, Garnett "Tickle" Purcell of Commerce; sisters, Doris Williams of Commerce and Mary Ann Perkins of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lacy; daughter, Jimmie Lacy Brown; and brother, Hoyt Purcell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday April 26th, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Services will be held on Monday April 27th, 2015 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Zach Hawkes officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
