Lonnie Oliver Baker, age 75 of Maysville, GA passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Homer, GA, Mr. Baker was the son of the late Arvil and Coralee Watkins Baker. He was retired from Akins Ford, of the Baptist faith, and attended Maysville UMC and Crossroads Church of God. He was preceded in death by siblings, W.C. Baker, Maudell Sorrows, Horace Baker, Shirley Baker, Jean Richie, Calvin Baker and Alfred Baker.
Survivors include wife, Janie Tilson Baker of the residence; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Baker and Margaret Lyle, Maysville, Rickey and Tammy Baker, Maysville, John and Kim Baker, Homer; two brothers, Bob Baker, Maysville, Windy Baker, Gainesville; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Thompson and Rev. Dugar Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
