June Sherman Obituary
June Sherman age 90 of Jefferson passed away April 22, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Sherman was born May 26, 1926 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Daniel & Seculia Ridley Rucker. She worked at Pearl Landry Mat and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana. She enjoyed watching wrestling, and her most famous saying was "Bucket Breath". She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Sherman, sons, Arthur Sherman, Michael Sherman & Christopher Sherman, brothers, Harold Rucker & Arthur Rucker, sisters, Helen Rucker Lambert, Lafonda Rucker Bell, Gloria Rucker Watt, Audrey M. Wilson, & Seculia Rucker Ruff.
Survivors include, daughters & sons in law, Donna & Terry Milon, of Indiana, Cherie & Thomas Carter of Jefferson, daughters, Tonie Sherman of Indiana, Youlanda Trice of Indiana, & Sonya Trice of Indiana, sons, Jessie Sherman of Kentucky, Donald Ray Sherman, Paul Sherman both of Indiana, son & daughter in law, Gregory & Nellie Sherman of Indiana. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews also survive.
Visitation services will be held Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 322 Eighth Avenue 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001
