Johnny Ervin Obituary
Johnny Rufus Ervin age 84 of Gillsville passed away Saturday December 16, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Ervin was born November 7, 1933 in Maysville to the late George & Katheline McCoy Ervin. He worked Wofford Leather Company in Gainesville for over 25 years and also with Craven's Farm for 20 years. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Ervin & Ronald Ervin, sister, Betty Brock.
Survivors include, wife, Jane Ervin of Gillsville, son & daughter in law, Johnathan Coy & Tiara Ervin of Lula, daughter & son in law, Misty & Andrew Phillips of Homer, son & daughter in law, David John & Tina Ervin of Commerce, sisters, Janice Rhodes of Nicholson, Ann Hill of Martin & Melissa Gowder of Maysville, 5 grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday December 19, 2017 in the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Phil Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday Dec. 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
