Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Charles Monroe Chestnut, age 83, of Commerce who passed away on Wednesday February 25th, 2015. He was the son of the late Angus and Mamie Chestnut. Survivors include his wife, Lois Johnson Chestnut of the home; sons, Michael Chestnut of Athens and Patrick Chestnut of Maysville; step-daughter, Alice Chastain of Woodstock; sister, Shirley Scoggins of Alabama; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 26th, 2015 from 6 pm until 8 pm. Services will be held on Friday February 27th, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Grey Hill.
